The Youth Mental Health First Aid training teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders in youth. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to youth who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
This free online event is taking place on October 6, from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
First Aiders will complete a 2-hour, self-paced online course, and then participate in a 4.5 to 5.5-hour, Instructor-led videoconference.
The deadline to register is September 22.
To register, please email MHFA@comphc.org, and include the date of the class you want to attend, your name and phone number.
