We have exciting news to share: Comprehensive Healthcare has been named one of five successful applicants statewide for the Washington State Healthcare Authority’s (HCA) Rural Health Transformation CCBHC funds.
We’re honored to be selected alongside Peninsula Behavioral Health in Port Angeles, Excelsior Wellness in Spokane, Cascade Community Healthcare in Centralia, and Lake Whatcom Recovery Treatment Center in Bellingham. HCA noted that the proposals it received were robust and unique, which makes this recognition all the more meaningful.
The Rural Health Transformation CCBHC funds are designed to help clinics maintain and strengthen their readiness to operate as CCBHCs in the future. The CCBHC model is built around making comprehensive, coordinated behavioral health care available to anyone who needs it, and these funds support that goal by helping clinics:
- Expand access for rural residents
- Grow mobile clinic services
- Strengthen care coordination positions
- Integrate data to better connect care
For Comprehensive Healthcare, that means more ways to reach people in the rural communities we serve across Central and Eastern Washington, many of whom face long drives, limited options, and other barriers to getting care close to home.
